An elopement up on Angelokastro -

Aka an elopement up in Heaven.

From the very first email, I knew that this was to be something special. A bubbly energy that matched my own, and nothing but love doused in a thick Southern American drawl every time we spoke. I immediately clicked with Alex; how could you not? I remember from the very beginning of our midnight conversations her saying that they "go big or go home"... and boy did they do exactly that.

Alex wanted to elope here in Corfu all the way from Coastal Mississippi, USA. A very spiritual being, she knew just what she wanted, and needed my guiding hand to bring it all together for her from across the seas.

Their day began at their gorgeous stonewalled AirBnB in the centre of Corfu town, where I arranged for the photographer and hair & make-up artist to meet them to begin prepping. During that time I went and collected the bespoke floral bouquet and took it to them; talk about express delivery!!

Once the gorgeous couple had adorned themselves in their stunning wedding attire and had their first look together (what a simply beautiful moment that was to witness!!), they jumped into our car and we headed off together to one of the most breathtaking, awe inspiring landmarks of Corfu: Angelokastro. With hundreds of steps leading to the top, the views are just spectacular, and completely worth every step. Having growing up Wiccan, Alex felt that this was truly the most perfect place for her to have felt truly grounded and at one with the earth beneath her feet, hence being barefoot for their ceremony!

I arranged for my star celebrant to meet us there, and once at the very top, the ceremony began. Literally "tying the knot" on the most stunning landmark in Corfu.

A time never to be forgotten.

Whilst the ceremony commenced, I did my little happy dance while preparing my table with all my beloved details, getting it ready for the wedding papers to be officially signed. Of course I had to go the extra mile (and Keith all the steps again!!) and bring some strawberries and champagne to celebrate!!

After the papers were all done and signed, strawberries demolished and champagne popped, our photographer happily skipped off with the happy married couple for their romantic portraits. And boy, the location did not disappoint in any way, shape or form. Breathtaking views, and perfect memories.

This incredible day ended at a Unesco world heritage site; one of the most romantic restaurants in Corfu town. Our treasured cake maker catered fabulously to Alex's dietary needs and special requests: a naked 6 tier cake made with fresh strawberries and daisies, that also needed to be both Vegan and Gluten Free. She even delivered it to the restaurant ready for their arrival, talk about service! I can tell you myself that every mouthful was delectable. My little bespoke cake topper was my gift to them, seeing as their cake couldn't go back to America with them!

Alex & Christian, this elopement holds a dear place in my heart, and forever will. Wherever you are in the world now, I hope you are both well and happy, and that you will never forget your time here in Corfu,

and your elopement up in Heaven.
