Wow. When a creative contacts a creative, you just know there are going to be sparks involved, and there certainly were with Alice & Brian's wedding. This day was totally unlike any wedding we’ve organised before here on the beautiful island of Corfu. As a wedding planner based here in Corfu, every celebration we bring to life has it's own personality — but this one felt less like a traditional wedding and more like an unforgettable live music event on the shores of Corfu!

Our Irish-British couple wanted something completely different from the start. Their vision wasn’t centred around formal traditions or perfect timelines; instead, they dreamed of a relaxed celebration that felt like a local gig by the sea, surrounded by friends, music, and the natural beauty of Paleokastritsa, Corfu. When couples come to us looking for a destination wedding in Corfu, we always encourage them to lean into the island’s atmosphere — and Alice and Bash embraced that idea wholeheartedly.

During one of our venue scouting trips around Corfu together, we initially visited the stunning Akron Beach Bar & Restaurant in Paleokastritsa. Perched above the crystal-clear Ionian waters, Akron is one of the most breathtaking Corfu wedding venues, offering panoramic sea views and a relaxed yet stylish setting for destination celebrations.

At first, we had ruled it out due to budget considerations. However, sometimes couples simply connect with a place — and that’s exactly what happened here. Alice and Bash couldn’t stop thinking about the venue, and eventually we made it work. When you’re planning a destination wedding in Corfu, sometimes the venue truly chooses the couple.

Alice herself brought a wonderfully creative spirit to the day. Relaxed and effortlessly cool, she wasn’t interested in the traditional bridal look. In fact, we didn’t even know until the day itself that she would arrive wearing white Doc Martens and shorts — a choice that perfectly captured her personality and the laid-back vibe of the entire celebration.

It was the perfect reminder that destination weddings in Corfu don’t need to follow rules. The island is a place where couples can truly celebrate in a way that feels authentic to them.

Bash has strong connections within the music industry, and many of his closest friends are musicians themselves. Rather than hiring a standard wedding band, the couple wanted the evening to feel like an authentic music event — a gathering where their talented friends could perform together.

We connected them with trusted local suppliers who could provide everything needed for a live performance setup: professional sound equipment, stage lighting, microphones, instruments, and technical support. The result was a wedding reception that genuinely felt like an intimate seaside gig - with an unforgettable energy.

Their ceremony was led by a close friend acting as celebrant, making the moment even more personal. With around 100 guests gathered at Akron Beach Bar, we ensured the right microphone and sound setup was in place so that everyone could hear every word of the ceremony — even those seated further back overlooking the sea.

The florals reflected the relaxed aesthetic of the day, with simple, elegant flower arrangements that complemented the natural beauty of the venue.

Once the ceremony and live performances had unfolded, the celebration continued well into the night. We organised onward transport for the couple and their guests to their after-party location, which continued on until 3am (well past my bedtime!!)

Alice and Bash’s celebration was a perfect example of why we love planning destination weddings in Corfu, Greece. No two couples are the same, and the island offers endless possibilities — whether you dream of a romantic seaside ceremony, a luxury villa celebration, or, like Alice and Bash, a wedding that feels like a music festival by the sea.
