A September wedding at Angsana, Corfu.

There is something so wonderfully romantic about a September wedding in Corfu. The temperatures are a little kinder, the sunsets somehow become even more beautiful (don't ask me how, they just do!), and the island settles into that perfect balance of elegance and relaxation that destination wedding dreams are made of. For Elyssia & Aidan, their beautiful wedding at the stunning Angsana hotel captured every essence of that magic. From the moment we started planning together, I knew this was going to be a beautiful one.



As a wedding planner based here in Corfu, one of the things I love most is helping couples navigate all the moving parts that come with planning a destination wedding in Greece. And with this day, there were certainly a few unexpected twists along the way. But as I always tell my couples: no problem is ever truly a problem if you have the right team around you - and my dream team here at LoveIsCorfuWeddings certainly stepped up beautifully!

From the very beginning, Elyssia & Aidan had a wonderfully elegant vision for their wedding day. They wanted a celebration that felt sophisticated, romantic, and timeless, whilst still embracing the relaxed beauty that makes Corfu such a special destination for weddings. The stunning Angsana Corfu provided the perfect setting, with it's breathtaking sea views, luxurious surroundings, and endless opportunities for beautiful photographs.

Throughout the planning process, we coordinated suppliers from mainland Greece for both the floral design and specialist lighting, ensuring every element reflected the couple's vision perfectly. Sometimes finding the right supplier requires looking beyond the island itself, and we were delighted to bring together a team capable of creating exactly the atmosphere Elyssia & Aidan dreamed of.

Of course, wedding planning always likes to keep us on our toes! Just two weeks before the wedding, the vintage bridal car that Elyssia had independently selected was unexpectedly sold. Cue a few frantic phone calls, plenty of supplier contacts, and a lot of determination on my part, I quickly sourced a beautiful replacement vintage car, ensuring her arrival was every bit as elegant as she had imagined.

And that wasn't the only unexpected adjustment. The original saxophonist booked by the couple was unfortunately no longer able to attend, however, never fear; thanks to our trusted network of wedding suppliers here in Greece, we were able to organise a fantastic replacement saxophonist, allowing the entertainment plans to continue seamlessly without any additional stress for the couple.

For the ceremony itself, we arranged a beautiful string duo consisting of a cellist and violist, creating the most romantic atmosphere as guests gathered to witness Elyssia & Aidan exchange their vows. We also organised the celebrant services, ensuring every element of the ceremony felt personal, meaningful, and completely reflective of the couple.

One thing I absolutely adored about this wedding was how personal the styling felt. Elyssia had carefully sourced additional details herself, from elegant marble table numbers to place cards and finishing touches throughout the reception. On the day, our team carefully set up each table, bringing together all of her chosen details and ensuring every element was perfectly placed exactly as she had envisioned.

As the celebrations continued into the evening, guests enjoyed our spectacular champagne tower, a beautiful wedding cake, incredible entertainment, and of course, plenty of dancing. But perhaps one of my favourite touches of the entire day came later in the evening when we served midnight munchies in true Greek style — delicious sweet and savoury Greek pies that disappeared almost as quickly as they arrived!

Elyssia & Aidan's wedding was such a lovely reminder that even when unexpected changes arise, beautiful weddings are never about everything going perfectly to plan. They're about creating an experience that feels joyful, relaxed, and unforgettable for the couple and their guests. And as you can see, this elegant September wedding at Angsana Corfu delivered exactly that.
