No one ever expects the rains to come when in Greece, much less on a wedding day in Corfu. But came the rains did, and I watched as the skies darkened and the rain came in over this beautiful (and very popular) little white church. Perhaps this situation would have filled me with dread once upon a time, but having lived on this beautiful island for over a decade, I know just how finicky the micro climate is here, and that as quickly as these dreaded storms come, they just as quickly blow on by given an hour or so. So I calmly informed all my suppliers to push the day back an hour to avoid the rains - I may not harness weather control power, but I can guarantee that myself and my dream team of suppliers will always have you smiling and shining for your special day.
The day for me began at the couples reception venue, of which I had recommended to Matt & Tyler because of it's eloquent and high class vibe perfectly aligning with their visions for the evening (and BONUS, it fit their budget too!). After setting up the reception details there, we raced over to the church to get everything set up there, ready for the arrivals. And for the bride & groom themselves, their day began with getting ready photos with my couples amazing chosen photography duo team capturing their groom and bridal prep process...

A Little White Church & A Flurry of White Flowers
As it is quite commonly so with couples getting married in Corfu, it was a choice for Matt and Tyler between the two most famous churches in here in Corfu. However, of the two churches, one is considerably smaller than the other, and with 80 guests, I knew in my gut that the smaller church, whilst breathtakingly beautiful, just wouldn't quite fit 80 guests comfortably, and so I recommended the bigger church of the two. Upon visiting the church, Tyler and Matt fell immediately in love with it, and you can understand why; the beauty of it's brick lane leading out to the church out into the famous blue green Ionian Sea is simply... idyllic.
One thing Tyler knew for sure was that she envisioned a theme of pure class and elegance for her day, defined with an abundance of white flowers and the wedding party dressed to kill in black ties and suits. And so with the plethora of flowers provided by my dream teams highly and personally recommended florist, we commenced the most beautiful ceremony, which with my suggested hours delay thankfully missed the rains.
And what a ceremony it was!! Our wonderful DJ started a little earlier than usual, providing atmospheric music for the arrival of the bridal party and the guests to the church. And for the guests upon arrival I had set up a welcome table with the Chinese paper umbrella's Tyler had bought with her and our rice bags, which was handed out to everyone alongside a refreshing welcome drink that I had organised with our wonderful catering vendor. And so with our lovely DJ Dimitris providing the ceremony music, and the best men letting off the confetti guns I sourced here in Corfu as our bride walked up the aisle, this ceremony was one to never be forgotten.

The reception: deluxe, exclusive and classy.
As soon as the ceremony was finished, it was a race against time for me to jump into the car and drive to the stunning reception location, for me to make sure that all my details preps from the morning were complete and that everything was 100% perfect for our newlyweds and guests to arrive. Matt and Tyler's dream of utter exquisite luxury came in full for their reception, with the tables completely awash with a sea of candles and flowers galore - the candles of which we had to relight several times due to the weather and damp atmosphere, but as you can see, the ambience in this incredible venue location was truly exquisite.
Tyler wanted a not so ordinary saxophonist whilst on a budget. and so I visited a few different venues on my search for the perfect player. As soon as I found this amazing saxophonist I was jumping with excitement, and even kept his little specialty trick a surprise until their special day; not only could he play his beautiful melodies on the saxophone, but the showstopper was the fact that he could sing as well! My couple were completely enamoured by him and loved his talent, and the relaxing and romantic atmosphere he brought.
A few romantic portraits by the couples chosen photographer, and it was then time for everyone to head on to the evening reception.

Onto to dancing the night away
And so this incredible night came to a close, with my dream team's incredible DJ bringing his amazing fun and funky beats for everyone to get down and dance the night away, we finished off the night with a real showstopper...
A SMOKE GUN!!
Our DJ really brought out all the stops for this wedding day made of dreams here in Corfu, and this day really couldn't have been any more amazing.

The Smiles Say it All.
And as you can see, this was a wedding day that no-one will ever forget. Tyler and Matt, thank you for trusting me to plan your special day here on my beautiful island. I hope myself and my dream team of suppliers here in Corfu made all your dreams come, and that you love every second of life together as newly weds.
Cheers to you two!
