Some wedding days are filled with those little personal touches that make them completely unforgettable, and this beautiful Corfu wedding was exactly that.

As a wedding planner based here in Corfu, I always love getting to know my couples and understanding what makes their wedding theirs. Rebecca had one particularly special idea up her sleeve from the very beginning — she wanted to surprise her dad by arriving in a beautiful vintage Beetle VW. And of course, we were very excited to make that happen! There is something so lovely about adding these personal moments into a wedding day, especially when they mean so much to the people you love most.

From the start of the booking, we took care of the wedding planning and on-the-day coordination, working closely with the couple and their chosen suppliers to ensure every element came together seamlessly. Destination weddings in Corfu often involve coordinating lots of different moving parts, from local suppliers and venue permissions to ceremony setup and timings, and this is exactly where having a wedding planner on the island makes everything feel so much easier.

For the ceremony, we organised the necessary church permissions and took care of the setup, making sure everything was ready before any guests arrived. One thing that I really loved working with Rebecca was how warmly she greeted our guidance and suggestions, and how she immediately loved our suggestion of a beautiful string duo to play during the ceremony - of which we were more than happy to arrange! It added such a lovely, romantic atmosphere as guests arrived and the ceremony unfolded. There is something about live strings at a Greek island wedding that just feels so incredibly special — hearing the music floating through the church as everyone gathers together is one of those little details that really stays with you.

We also arranged a relaxed drinks reception at the church, giving everyone a chance to enjoy a little refreshment and soak up the beautiful surroundings before the celebrations continued, which were greatly appreciated by the guests!

The flowers were another stunning part of the day. I recommended a lovely florist I particularly enjoy working with because she isn't one of the more mainstream choices, and has such a wonderful ability to really understand a couple's ideas. For Rebecca & Tom, we created a beautiful palette of white roses, olive branches, eucalyptus and hydrangeas — classic and hopelessly romantic, with just the right amount of Mediterranean influence.

Of course we had to have our heavily recommended DJ services for the evening, who always ensures the evening is celebrated with plenty of music, dancing, and ALL the ingredients needed for a very good Greek wedding party!

And of course, once the wedding planning is done, our job on the day itself is to make sure our couples don't have to think about any part of it. We ensure they spend their time enjoying their champagne, hugging their families, dancing with their friends, and taking in every single moment — whilst we quietly make sure everything behind the scenes is exactly where it needs to be.
